God Creates the World

Genesis 1:1

Luna narrates

Long, long ago, before the mountains or the sea or even the sun existed, there was only God. And God decided to create something beautiful. He spoke, and light appeared. He separated the sky from the water, the land from the sea. He filled the earth with trees, flowers, and fruit. He set the sun to warm the day and the moon to glow at night, and scattered millions of stars across the sky.

Then God filled His creation with life — fish leaping in the oceans, birds soaring through the sky, and animals roaming across every land. Everything He made was good, and He smiled at it all. On the sixth day, He did something very special: He formed a man from the dust of the ground, breathed His own breath into him, and called him Adam. Then He made Eve, so Adam would not be alone. He put them in a beautiful garden called Eden, where everything they needed was provided.

On the seventh day, God rested and made that day holy. This is why the Coptic Church keeps Sunday as a sacred day of worship — a day to remember that God is the maker of everything, and that everything He made, including you, is very good.
