On this day, 4 Baramudah 1742, we remember the significant role of St. Mary in our Coptic Orthodox faith. As the Theotokos, or Mother of God, she holds a special place in our theology and devotion.

According to our tradition, St. Mary is the virgin mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, and her purity and obedience to God are an example to us all. We believe that she was chosen by God to bear the Son of God, and that she remained a virgin before, during, and after the birth of our Lord.

In our Coptic Orthodox Church, we have a deep devotion to St. Mary, and we honor her with many feasts and hymns throughout the year. We believe that she intercedes for us before the throne of God, and that she is a powerful advocate for our souls.

One of the most important feasts in our Church is the Feast of the Assumption of St. Mary, which we celebrate on 22 Mesori. On this day, we commemorate the dormition, or falling asleep, of St. Mary, and her subsequent assumption into heaven.

As we reflect on the life and significance of St. Mary, we are reminded of the importance of humility, obedience, and devotion in our own lives. May we follow her example, and may we always seek to honor and glorify God through our words and actions.

Let us pray, asking St. Mary to intercede for us, that we may be worthy of the gift of salvation, and that we may always remain faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ. May her blessing be upon us, and may we be guided by her example of faith and devotion.

May the blessing of the Virgin St. Mary be upon us, and may we always rejoice in her intercession and care for us.
